ENTRANCE TO THE TURKEY
Please make sure that you use your passport while entering Turkey, not your ID Card. When you are applying for the resident permit, it is necessary to show the entrance stamp on your passport.
RESIDENCE PERMIT (AFTER ARRIVAL IN TURKEY)
All international students in Turkey, regardless of status, must register with the Foreign National Departments of the Police Headquarters to obtain Residence Permit (İkamet Belgesi), within a month of the entering Turkey.

Steps to follow:
- Complete online application form and made an appointment
- Go to the appointment with the documents :
- Resident permit application form (Printed and signed)
- Original passport and photocopy of the passport (ID, visa and entrance stamp pages)
- 4 passport sized biometric photos
- Health Insurance (Special insurance is required, for more information click here)
- A letter from your student dormitory or your tenancy agreement or document from your host.
- Receipt of payment of Resident Permit Fee
- Letter confirming your international exchange student status and residence address (will be given by our office)
- Your fingerprints will be taken at the Immigration Office
- Your resident permit will be sent to your address.
